Q: What meals of snacks will be provided for my child?

A: DKFA will provide a morning and afternoon snack, included in the program cost (But if you prefer to send your own snacks, that is fine as well.). Students need to bring their own lunch daily.

Q: Is there minimum/maximum student numbers for this program?

A: DKFA is planning to limit class size to 10 students to remain safely withing current phase guidelines. The minimum number of students needed to run the session will be 4 students. A priority will be given to students attending 5-day programs.

Q: What are the hours available for KICKS101 Camp?

A: Standard camp hours are from 9am-3pm. Early drop-off is available starting at 8am and extended day pickup allows for pickups as late as 5:30pm, both are available at additional costs. Extended day pickup will include participation in Fitness Arts Club at no additional cost.

Q: Will tutors or learning coaches be available?

A: DKFA staff will be available solely to supervise and administer your student’s remote learning schedule. DKFA is not offering educational services and does not guarantee grades or offer additional academic services.

Q: What are the dates for KICKS101 Remote Learning Camp?

A: We currently have three 2-week sessions scheduled from August 31, 2020 through October 9, 2020. More sessions will be added based on school district scheduling, local safety guidelines and participant interest.

Q: What happens on non-remote learning school days?

A: On camp days, without any scheduled remote learning classes, participants will have a regular camp day with martial arts classes during the mornings and fun activities in the afternoon (i.e 8/31/20). Holidays, like Labor Day (9/7/20) will not have camp.

Q: Can my child attend on any day or are reservations needed?

A: To maintain consistency and to have proper amount of staff in place, students will need to maintain a routine schedule that is determined before the session begins. A school reservations app will be in use and we will not be accepting drop-ins. Half-day session maybe offered in the future.

Q: What grades is this Remote Learning Camp for?

A: DKFA will be offering KICKS101 RLC to 1st through 8th graders.

Q: What will DKFA be doing to ensure safety and health in light of COVID-19?

A: First, students will undergo a health screening which includes a series of questions and temperature check at arrival. NO PARENTS OR VISITORS ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE FACILITY WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. While within the facility, students will not be required to wear a face covering unless previously stated in writing by the parents. Q: What if Remote Learning is extended or transitions to a Hybrid Schedule by the school districts?

A: If remote learning is extended or a hybrid schedule is introduced, DKFA will consider continuing based on minimum student interest.

Q: How do I enroll?

A: Click on the link HERE to place a $75 deposit on a space. Enrollment acceptance will be based on providing the best opportunity possible with the best schedule/mix of students. Enrollment acceptance information should be available within one week of deposit. Deposit will be returned if enrollment is not available or is session is canceled. Full payment will be arranged before the start of the session.

Q: Does my child need to be enrolled in martial arts?

A: No, beginners are welcome but current members do receive a discount.
