Competitor’s Video Submission Guidelines

  1. Video should begin with a short introduction that includes:
    1. Your name
    1. Your martial arts school
    1. Your rank
    1. Your form name
    1. If you are a black belt, please state if this is your first or second form
  2. No other communication other than a ‘KIHAP’ is allowed.
  3. The entire form must be within the camera frame and no movements maybe made outside of the frame.
  4. The video must be continuous and one single take with no breaks or edits.
  5. No editing or post production to videos is allowed.  That includes change of speed, text, graphics, filters, etc.
  6. No music or sound enhancement may be added or is to be included within video.
  7. Your recording can made from any safe place like your home, backyard, a park, or school.  Please make sure you have plenty of room and space is free of obstacles.
  8. Competitors must wear a martial arts uniform accepted by their style or instructor.
  9. Do not show and religious, political, or any symbol negatively targeting a group or an individual in the recording.
  10. Recordings must be made between 1/15/21 and 2/18/21.
  11. Videos recorded at tournaments or other events may not be used for this event.
  12. Videos must be less than 3:30 minutes (1 form per video).
  13. Video should be filmed in landscape.
  14. In case they make it to final rounds, Black Belts should have 2 forms recorded/submitted and clearly labeled according to below file name format which is form #1 and form #2.
  15. If uploading your video to a hosting site like YouTube or Vimeo, please make sure your video is unlisted (not public), comments are disabled, and it is marked “It is not made for kids” until after the event (2/21/21).

**Failure to adhere to guideline may result in disqualification.
